I was diagnosed next to fibroids in 2002 and be told that eventually it could lead to a hysterectomy however the doctor who did my ultrasound told me to take off it alone and wait because while absolute women have severe symptoms others don't even know that they own fibroids. The heavy bleeding will decrease and the fibroids will shrink the closer you get to menopause. I am 43, my period are now typical and the clots have reduced. If my family connections doctor had his course, I would of had everything taken out and on HRT for the rest of my enthusiasm. I was never told to progress on birth control. The only individual who was upfront be the ultrasound doctor who turned out to be right. If this sounds familiar, bequeath yourself time and see what happens. Don't rush into anything. Good luck.
